Notes

Type 1 is differentiated by the date on the obverse. Many different varieties in the designs exist, including different castle shapes, different key rings, different crosses above the keys, different symbols separating the legends, and different heights of the dates' placements. If there is a design element, there is probably some sort of variety to it. While the exact details of the castles may vary, there were four basic shapes used throughout the years: The exact lettering of the surrounding legend may vary. 1563: 1) CIVITATIS · RIGENSIS / MONETA · NOVA · ARGEN 1564: 1) CIVITATIS · RIGENSIS / MONETA · NOVA · ARGEN (15)63/64 (63 on reverse; 64 on obverse): 1) CIVITATIS · RIGENSIS / MONETA · NOVA · RIGE
